Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition

Recently, Microsoft has revealed the "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition" Beta. Don't worry, this won't replace the regular version for Mac, Linux, Windows 8, etc, but will be treated as a different platform like Xbox One Edition, etc.

The public beta will be released July 29 (The Same day Windows Insiders will get there free copy of Windows 10). Players who have the game already will get it for free (if you have Windows 10 of course), but if you have not already purchased the game you can get it for 10$ USD for a limited period of time.

One of the big perks at the time is that you can play multiplayer with your Xbox Live friends. The game also has full support for controller, touch, or keyboard and mouse. It will allow you to seamlessly switch between all 3 of these controls.

Microsoft states that Windows 10 Edition will be receiving regular updates just like regular Minecraft.
